Hey guys! Today’s Top Ten Tuesday is a good one for me because there a lot of books that I haven’t read by authors that I love. No one has time to read everything and I’m sure all of us have books that we wish we had read. But sometimes that guilt starts to creep in when some of those books that you haven’t read are by authors that you just adore. While there are many authors I love, I want to keep this post to just my absolute favourites, so this week’s Top Ten Tuesday is going to be more of a Top Five Tuesday.
If you asked anyone I would say that V. E. Schwab is my number one favourite author. It’s been little over a year since I first read a book by her, but since then I have been obsessed, clawing to gt my hands on her next book. I have owned This Savage Song for a while now but I haven’t picked it up yet. I don’t know what’s holding me back, but hopefully I will get to it soon.
Okay, so The Red Pyramid is a book I am actually currently reading, but I haven’t finished it, and I’ve been reading it for a while now. Since the 2nd Heroes of Olympus book I have listened to all or Rick’s book as audiobooks. For the last few weeks though I’ve just not been feeling it. I didn’t read any of Rick’s books growing up, so for the last two years I feel like I’ve been playing catchup. But when I started the Kane Chronicles I was just not able to connect with the story or the characters. Hopefully I’ll be able to read them all someday, but for now this series is going to remain unrea.
3. Unwind by Neal Shusterman
Neal Shusterman is an author I recently discovered when I read Scythe. I fell in love with that book and with his writing, and even though that is the only book of his I have read so far I know that he will continue to be one of my favourite authors for a long time. Unwind is a book with a premise that truly interests me and I have heard incredible things about it. I am eager to pick it up and I hope to do so soon.
So there are a few Leigh Bardugo books that I haven’t read – Language of Thorns, Siege and Story, Ruin and Rising – but I intend to read all of these books one day. Wonder Woman: Warbringer, however, is not a book at the top of my list. I enjoy superhero stories, I really do, but for the last few years DC has not held my interest. I enjoyed the Wonder Woman movie and I’m sure that this would be an enjoyable read, but I’m not feeling drawn to it.
If you have been reading my posts for the last few months you will know that a book I recently fell head-over-heels in love with was Renegades by Merissa Meyer. I wasn’t expecting to love it so much, but I really did. I have owned Heartless for a little while and Cinder is a books that I have known about since I discovered BookTube, but for some reason I am yet to pick either of them up. Maybe I will soon. Who knows. For now I will remain happy with the thought that Renegades is an incredible book.
