Favourite Short Stories/Novellas – Top Ten Tuesday

Hey guys! It’s time for a Top Ten Tuesday! This is a blog meme originally created by The Broke and the Bookish and is currently being hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is Favourite Short Stories/Novellas. I haven’t read too many short stories or novellas in my life, but luckily I’ve just finished a Creative Writing degree and so we had to read quite a few short stories during my time there. As this topic is short stories/novellas I’m going to first make a list of five short stories and then a list of five novellas. So, without further ado, here goes my first ever Top Ten Tuesday list!

1. Snow, Glass, Apples
by Neil Gaiman
2. The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas by Ursula K. Le Guin
3. The Bloody Chamber by Angela Carter
4. The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gillman
5. Bluebeard by Angela Carter

6. Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka
7. The Strange Cases of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson
8. A Scandal In Bohemia by Arthur Conan Doyle
9. Oroonoko by Aphra Behn
10. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald

Have you read any of these books? What did you think of them?
What would you put on this list? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
