Hey guys, what’s up, welcome back to another Blogtober post! Today I’m bringing you something a little different. I love playing the Sims. I played Sims2 when I was young on mu Nintendo DS and then a few years go I downloaded the Sims4 onto my laptop. I go in and out of playing it, but when I do I love creating sims. In fact, one of the first things I ever did when I downloaded the game was create some of my favourite bookish characters in the game. That’s why today I am bringing you 7 of my favourite bookish characters that I created in the sims. If you like them you can download them all from the gallery. You can either search my username which is cerealsims or you can search the hashatg #browsingforbooks.
- I do not have the exact links to the cc used to create these sims. However you can find the cc I like to use on my custom content Simblr here or you can find the cc in my tumblr likes here.
- While editing these photos I tried to erase all of the white background but I did not manage to get it all out. I am not a professional photoshop user and honestly I really don’t care.

From To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before
I’m starting with the one I’m probably the most happy with. I really love all of the clothes she is wearing and I feel like I’ve really captured her essence. Plus, her face is gorgeous and I really love that smirk she’s giving!
From Children of Blood and Bone
This is Zélie as if she lived in the modern world. She is so strong willed I know she would not shy away from bright and bold colours and patterns so I really love the skirt and top I have given her to. She is practical, though, so when going for footwear I know she would pick something more practical and sturdy than something fashionable. That’s not to say these boots aren’t fashionable, but you know that these are well worn and serve her well. I also made her quite muscly and strong but I’m not sure if that comes through well in these screenshots.
From The Mortal Instruments
I’m quite pleased with Clary. I love the tattoos and her clothes. Her hair is super Clary and the sword was the closest I could get to a seraph blade but I think it works. I just don’t like her face. I mean, there’s nothing wrong with it, but I just don’t think it’s Clary. No matter how much I tried to edit her face I just couldn’t settle on anything.
From Leah on the Offbeat
I went for Leah’s prom/dance look. I couldn’t find a floral yellow dress I was happy with but I do like this one. I’m not too happy with her hair but I had to settle on something.
From The Twilight Saga
I don’t even know why I decided to make Bella in the Sims but I really like how this turned out. I think the clothes and the hair are absolutely perfect and I love how she has that brooding and innocent look on her face.
From The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo
Part of me really loves this sim but part of me really dislikes it. I love Evelyn Hugo but I just don’t feel like her face truly captures her. I think her hair and dress are perfect but there’s something about her face that just feels very young. I don’t know, I just feel like it’s just off.
From Shades of Magic
This is Lila as if she were in our modern society. I adore Lila and she’s probably one of my all time favourite book characters. I know her staple look is red under a black jacket, but I think in a more modern setting she would go for a more stand out and bold red look. She’s always dressed quite gender fluidly and I think I have captured that while giving her a bit of a modern twist.
From The Lord of the Rings
This, again, is as though Arwen in living in our modern world. I love Arwen’s character and I have always found her so badass and inspiring. At first I thought there was no way Arwen would wear anything other than dresses considering how feminine she is, but then I realised that she’s actually quite a physical and active person. I found it difficult at first to give her that sense of practicality while keeping her femininity alive, but ultimately I really like how she’s ended up.
From The Hate U Give
I love this sim of Starr. I love her hair and her outfit. Her eyes are stunning and her face just seems to capture her essence perfectly.
From A Song of Ice and Fire OR Game of Thrones
I think this Sim of Daenerys is stunning, but much like Evelyn Hugo and Clary Fray, there’s something about her face that’s just not quite right. I feel like it’s in her eyes, for Dany, or maybe the shape of her face is a bit off. But in terms of her hair and outfit, I am so pleased with the way she looks. The necklace ties everything in perfectly. I don’t know why I wanted to keep her in her fantasy feel, especially considering I have brought the other fantasy characters to a more modern setting, but I am happy with how she has turned out.
From The Harry Potter Series
So this is Ginny Weasley as if she was a muggle in 2018. She’s definitely a sporty person and I doubt she’d be seen without her joggers or sports top on. She’s also such a fiery redhead and she has the biggest smile on her face. Ginny is one of my favourite bookish characters in the world so I just had to make her and I’m really pleased with the way she turned out!
Do you guys play The Sims? If you could create one character in The Sims who would you make? Do you like my versions of these characters?
